EDITING, INDEXING, AND COPYWRITING RATES
In determining fees, I usually follow the guidelines of the Editorial Freelancers Association. Another source of industry averages for proofreading, editing, and writing rates is available online at Writersmarket.com.

For page layout or other graphic art projects, the usual source is Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing & Ethical Guidelines. This is not online, but can be found in bookstores or the library (Cover image is at the bottom of this page).

My base rates are in line with all of these guidelines, but can vary.  I am happy to negotiate a per-hour, per-page, per-entry, or project rate tailored to your project. Ongoing, repetitious, and fast-track or emergency timing can enter in also. Your input is needed for this process.

Payment is also negotiated beforehand, and I am happy to work with company's invoicing procedures or special circumstances such as overseas banks. For individuals, it may be easier to use PayPal.
